(1) Preset the barrel temperature at 200 °C before preparation for cleaning the barrel
(2) Screw the round steel brush with the drill pipe and the electric drill into the cleaning tool,then use the copper covered the steel brush
(3) Before inserting the cleaning tool into the barrel, add some stearic acid to the barrel, or sprinkle stearic acid on the copper wire of the cleaning tool
(4) When the wire mesh enters the barrel, it starts the electric drill to rotate it, and makes it move around it artificially until it has no resistance;
(5) After the copper wire is removed from the barrel, use a piece of cotton cloth to wipe back and forth to remove any cleaning resin or residues of stearic acid. The cleaning of barrel can be accomplished after several such back-and-forth wiping. After thorough cleaning screw and barrel can be assembled at any time for the next production
Clean color change、material change screw & barrel notices
1、Firstly clean the outside of equipment then clean the Inside, in the transformation between different materials, color change must be done on the original raw material clean no dead Angle, in particular, is not easy to wipe, for less than place blow to clean, leave no dead Angle. The residual material in the screw and barrel must be cleaned and squeezed first, and cleaning of complex equipment and mould should be removed when necessary
2、If the screw & barrel is cleaned well, then add the clean agent, otherwise, heated up and the product is to be extruded, the appearance of the product can be squeezed out, and the color can be put into normal production. If not, press the above 1.
3、Several experiences for reference
A. if different color change or different materials change oftenly, you could equip with one set same mould (it’s most difficult to clean the mould), save time and materials.
B. For same materials different color, could do design change on the feeding mouth, use color masterbatch production instead of color powder, can reduce the influence of different procedure on color.
C. Change the appearance color of the product with co-extrusion technology, can reduce the possible troubles of converts.
D. If possible, adopts same equipment for processing same materials, for example, PP products machine process PP materials only, don't do PE products, otherwise, it will influence product performance if clean not well enough.
