Package industrial new material born, plastic bag could be dissolved in water!

On 2018.7.24, In Santiago, Chile, Chilean engineers Roberto Astete and Christian Olivares held a press conference to showcase a new material that can be completely dissolved in water and can be used to replace plastic bags and other plastic products.

After modifying the chemical formula of PVA (polyvinyl alcohol), they managed to find an environmentally friendly product without any oil derivatives. This new product can even be consumed after water decomposition.

In order to prove the results of their invention, the two made an experiment on the spot.

Chilean engineers put the bag of this new material into the water for testing. They stirred the bag made of this product in the water. The bag gradually dissolves during the agitation process, and the transparent water slowly becomes milky white.

It can be observed that the bag gradually dissolves during the stirring process, and the transparent water gradually becomes milky white. After the bag was completely dissolved, the engineer drank the milky white liquid from the bag.
